NFL props

NFL player props and picks, with the projections behind them

A player prop is a line on one player's game: passing yards, rushing yards, receptions, a touchdown. Touchdown projects every one of them each week and shows the numbers and the reasoning, so you can see why a pick is a pick.

What NFL props are

Props are about a single player instead of the final score. The line is a number, like 245.5 passing yards or 4.5 receptions, and the question is whether the player finishes over or under it.

Because they hang on one player's usage, props reward the details a scoreline hides: targets, snap share, the matchup at corner, and how the game script is likely to run.

How Touchdown picks and projects props

Every week we publish a projection for the players who matter in each game, next to the line and the odds our numbers imply. When the projection and the line disagree, that gap is where a pick comes from.

The strongest of those become super picks, each with the reasoning written out. And every week closes with a recap of what hit and what did not, because a pick you cannot check later is not worth much.

Reading a prop projection

A projection is our best estimate of the player's number, not a promise. The useful part is the distance from the line: a receiver projected for 78 yards against a 64.5 line is a very different read from one projected for 66.

Touchdown shows you both numbers side by side, with the stats that drove the projection, so you can agree or disagree with it on the evidence.

Frequently asked questions

What are NFL props?

NFL props are lines on an individual player's statistics in a game, such as passing yards, receptions or scoring a touchdown, rather than on which team wins.

What is the difference between NFL picks and props?

A pick is a recommendation. A prop is the market it is made on. Touchdown's picks and props screen shows each week's player props with our projection and the pick it leads to.

Does Touchdown take bets?

No. Touchdown is an information and analytics app. It publishes projections, picks and the reasoning behind them. It does not take bets or handle money.

How often are the projections updated?

Every NFL week. Each week's games, props, picks and parlays are published for that week, followed by a recap of the results.
